1. Run 40 miles (accumulated… not all at once, hah).
2. Exercise at least 4 times a week.
3. Attend a yoga class once a week.
4. Lose 5 pounds.
5. Do Life (BenDoesLife.com style… i have been stalking his blog for the past 2 weeks. so inspiring.)
tonight i kicked off the new year by running my first official 5k — at the gym, on the treadmill.
34min 47sec — 11:13/mile
didn’t reach my goal of doing a sub 11 min/mile but at least i ran the whole thing this time.
going to make a new post with my goals for this month. i think it’s really important to set attainable goals especially since i no longer have the couch25k program to keep me accountable.
i haven’t stopped running!
i’ve been running 30 min without stopping about 2-3 times a week. But I need to get up to 3-4 times a week plus a spinning class (or boot camp of some sort) and yoga class. And I’m still working on my speed. Still over an 11min mile but I’ll get there!
also need to stop eating chocolate. the holidays are killin’ me.
Last Saturday I officially completed the couch25k training! Even though I can now run 30 min without stopping, I cannot run a 5k in 30 minutes. But that’s okay! I have the endurance.. I just need to work on my speed.
Today I ran 2.64 miles in 30 min. So that’s an average of 11:36 a mile. My goal is to be under an 11 minute mile by january. Let’s go!!
Today I completed Week 9 Day 1 of couch25k — 30 min of nonstop running!!!
Only 2 more workouts until I’m done with the program :)
last week i finished week 6 of couch25k!!
this week i run for 25 min straight for all 3 workouts… noooo walking intervals :( but i can do it!!
and today i’m starting to eat bananas for a snack. i heard it helps to eliminate leg cramps while running. i haven’t really had this problem yet but it won’t hurt to up my potassium just in case!
i went to hot yoga again last saturday and this time it felt aaaaamazing. i can’t wait to go back this weekend!!
also, today i completed week 6, day 1 of couch25k. heck yes. 5 minutes of walking, 5 minutes of running, 3 minutes of walking, 8 minutes of running, 3 minutes of walking, 5 minutes of running, and a 5 minute walk cool-down. seemed easy peasy compared to my 20 min run last week.
tomorrow my friend wants me to come over and hang out and order pizza. i really just want to stick to my routine — work, work out, eat, sleep. but it’s hard to say no to a social life every once in a while. i need to learn how to better balance the two.
I RAN 20 MINUTES TODAY WITHOUT STOPPING!!!!!!
ohhh my goodness it felt so good.
week 5 day 3 of couch25k complete.
bring it on week 6 :)
completed week 5 day 2 of couch25k! do you know what that means?! i’m HALF-WAY done with the training program!
now, on to watch one my favorite shows.. american horror story!
